The arrangement conference is a decision making meeting. You should bring along family members or a close friend to help with opinions, and support you while you are making arrangements. ANY FAMILY MEMBER WHO WANTS TO should come to the funeral arrangements instead of second guessing your decisions. Especially ask those family and friends who have cared the most.
The arrangement conference usually takes two hours, and that two hours goes by very quickly. When the arrangements are over you will have in hand an exact copy of what will be sent to the newspaper for publishing as well as a complete itemized list of all the costs involved through the Funeral Home.
What infomation do we need for funeral arrangements ?
Please bring with you, the person who's funeral we are planning:
* Social Security Number
* The Clothes You want them to wear in the casket
( Ladies- an outfit with a high neck and long sleeves, slip or camisole, underpants and stockings or socks, optional bra and shoes.)
( Men- Long sleeve shirt, tie, sport or suit jacket, long pants, underpants, undershirt, socks optional belt and shoes. )
* Any notes made by the deceased regarding special requests for their funeral
* Photo (color or black and white) for preparation use and newspaper article, there can be other people in the photograph, as long as we can draw an imaginary line around that person we can electronically scan that person right out of the photo, size wise from the top of the persons head to the bottom of their shoulders should be one inch or larger. (obviously the person should not be eating drinking or smoking in the photo, hats may be rejected by the newspaper as well).
* If available cemetery plot paperwork
* If available Insurance policies you would like the funeral home to help process.
All of the below questions are about the person who's funeral we are planning.
