Juventino V. Leite
"Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather"
LOWELL Juventino V. Leite, 79, died unexpectedly in a house fire, Tuesday, November 27, 2012. For over 50 years, he was the beloved husband of Valentina (Conde) Leite.
A son of the late Joao and the late Esbela (Espinola) Leite, he was born March 15, 1933, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, served in the Portuguese military for three years, worked his own farm in Portugal and operated a vineyard for many years as well before coming to the United States in 1978, settling in Lowell’s Back Central Street Neighborhood.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, and a member of the Holy Ghost Society and Trindade. His hobbies were gardening, tending to his grapevines, fishing, and especially enjoyed trips to his native Portugal every summer. Juventino worked at Beauty Box in Dracut for over twenty years before retiring. What he will be most fondly remembered for is his association with his families business, Central Market. He could always be found there, spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his wife, Valentina, he is survived by a son, Rui J. Leite and his wife, Neia, of Florida; his daughter, Maria L. Arseneault and her husband, Brian, of Lowell; his grandchildren, Max Leite of Lowell, Veronica Arseneault and Hailee Arseneault of Lowell, and Austin Leite and Shawn Leite of Florida; his brothers, Joao Leite and his wife, Maria, of Lowell, and Manuel Leite and his wife, Lourdes, of Graciosa, Azores; his wife’s sister, Isolete Simoes and her husband, Herimino, of Lowell; and his Godchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
