Anna May Davis
CHELMSFORD Anna May (MacDonald) Davis, 80, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at Palm Manor Nursing Home of natural causes.
A daughter of the late Angus and the late Bridget (Paul) MacDonald, she was born November 29, 1928, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools.
A lifelong resident of the Highlands Section of the City, she was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church. She enjoyed taking walks around Lowell and spending time with her grandchildren, and her charismatic personality will be missed by all she came in contact with.
Anna May worked for Andover Medtronics for over fifteen years before her retirement.
She is survived by three sons, Ernie Davis and his wife, Alice, of Tynsboro, Alan Dalli and his wife, Maureen of Lowell, and Donnie Davis and Dolly Calo of Lawrence; a daughter, Gail McCartney and her husband, Rick, of Hudson, NH; a sister Rita MacDonald of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Cheryl Stone and her husband, Peter, of Caanon, NH, Tracy Odgen and her husband, Tom, of Lowell, Kristen Tulley and her husband, Jim, of Lowell, Angelee Dalli of Lowell, and Ronnie and his wife Elizabeth Dalli, Bridget McCartney and Haley McCartney all of Hudson, NH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Jim MacDonald, Eddie MacDonald, John MacDonald, Dan MacDonald, Kay Dalli, Pauline Serre an Ginger MacDonald.
