William Joseph 'Bill' Higson
LOWELL William Joseph 'Bill' Higson, 48, of Lowell, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Fairhaven Nursing Home, after a short battle with cancer. He was the former husband of the late Judith A. (Laurent) Higson who passed away May 4, 2008.
Born May 23, 1961, in Lowell, he was a son of the late James J. Higson Sr., and the late Rita (Whitworth) Higson and was educated in the local schools.
Mr. Higson made his home in the Pawtucketville Section of the City, and worked as a cook at the Blue Shamrock, where he got to work at his hobby that he loved, cooking. He also was an avid Boston Red Sox fan as well as a New England Patriots fan, and enjoyed spending time with his children.
He is survived by two sons, William J. Higson Jr. and Joshua A. Higson both of Lowell; his sisters, Rita Verge and her husband, Harold, of Riverview, FL, Karen M. Landry of North Chelmsford, Mary Gail Axon and her husband, Kenneth, of Gibsonton, FL, and Ann Marie Boland and her husband, Thomas, of Cheyenne, WY; his brothers, Edward Higson and his wife, Linda, of Hampton Beach, NH, Kevin Higson of Lowell, and Michael Higson and his wife, Donna, of Nashua, NH; a sister in law, Linda Higson of North Chelmsford; his nephew, James Higson and his wife, Pamela, of Lowell who were his caregivers, and many more nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was also the brother of the late James Higson Jr. and the late John Higson.
