William G. Pacht
LOWELL William G. Pacht, 88, of Lowell, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at D’Youville Senior Health Care Center after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of the late Vivian R. (Espinola) Pacht who died December 2009.
A son of the late Gustave and the late Gertrude (Winarski) Pacht, he was born December 28, 1924, in Boston, and moved with his family to Lowell where he was educated. He made his home on Bourne Street, then Main Street, and on School Street. He served with the United States Navy during World War II.
Mr. Pacht worked as a technician for New England Telephone for over forty years before retiring. He belonged to the Telephone Pioneers of America, AARP, and the American Legion Post 247 Tyngsboro. His hobby was N Gauge Trains, and he was proud of his large display. He repaired radios as a hobby and side job, enjoyed gardening, and for the past forty four years enjoyed many summers at Hampton Beach on N Street with family and friends.
William's family would like to thank the staff at D'youville Senior Care for the loving attention and care he received.
He is survived by his children, Gerald Pacht and his wife, Elizabeth Delaney, of Hampton, NH, Brenda Greathead of Lowell, George Pacht and his wife, Myong, of Newark, CA, Donald Pacht and his wife, Celeste, of Chelmsford, and Susan Giannelli and her husband, Mark, of Wakefield; his grandchildren, Sarah Pacht and Emily Pacht both of Chelmsford, and William Pacht and Josh Boyle both of California; his brother in law, James Espinola and his wife, Joanne, and Robert Espinola all of California; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the father of the late Thomas Pacht, and brother of the late Robert Pacht.
