William J. ‘Bill’ Conway
LOWELL William J. ‘Bill’ Conway, 65, a longtime Lowell resident, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Sunbridge Care Center at Glenwood in Lowell, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Kathleen (Gagnon) Callahan.
A son of the late Thomas and the late Ethel (Mortell) Conway, he was born November 18, 1944, in Cambridge, and educated in that area.
He made his lifelong home in Lowell, and worked as a carpenter for many years throughout the area. Bill was a true ‘Jack of all Trades’ as he could fix anything for anybody. He was an easygoing individual and had a quick sense of humor and enjoyed Texas Holdem'. He liked to travel and enjoyed keeping up with current events around the World, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen, he is survived by his children, Joseph Conway and his wife, Jennifer, of Lowell, Krista Lyon and her husband, Matt, of Lowell, William Conway Jr. of Lowell, Tara Conway of Lowell, and Kaitlyn Conway of Lowell; his grandchildren, Jessica Conway, Jillian Conway, and Madeline Lyon all of Lowell; his sisters, Janet Conway, Margret Florentino,and Harriet Higgins, his brothers, Thomas Conway Jr. and Joe Conway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Charlotte Tulley, the late Frances Champa, the late Ethel Belleveau, and the late Joan Brady.
