William A. ‘Bam’ Ramsay
LOWELL William A. ‘Bam’ Ramsay, 59, a longtime resident of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly November 1, 2016, after a period of declining health. He was a son of the late William A. Ramsay, Sr. and the late Marion P. (Neary) Ramsay.
Born April 21, 1957, in Lowell, he was educated in the local schools. In his younger days, he was a New England Golden Gloves Champion in the 1970’s, training at the West End Gym in Lowell. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins as well as the Boston Red Sox.
He cherished time spent with his family and always looked forward to family gatherings. He made his home in Lowell for many years and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Mr. Ramsay worked in construction locally for more than thirty years before illness forced his retirement. He also worked at the West End Gym training up and coming boxers.
He is survived by his brothers, Joseph ‘Ray’ Ramsay of Dracut, and James Ramsay of Lowell; his sister, Gail Pageau and her husband, Ronald, of Westford; his nieces and nephews, Melissa Ramsay of Lowell, Donald Ramsay, Jr. of Chelmsford, James Ramsay, Jr., of Pepperell, Joshua Ramsay of Iowa, Lance Ramsay of Dracut; his great nephew, Donald Ramsay, III of Chelmsford and a great niece, Chloe Ramsay of Chelmsford.
He was predeceased by his brother Donald Ramsay, Sr., and his sister, Linda Ramsay.

HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH, 115 MIDDLESEX ST., NORTH CHELMSFORD AT 11 A.M..
BURIAL IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY.
