Wilfred J. DeRoche
NASHUA, NH Wilfred J. DeRoche, 89, of Nashua, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at his home after a long illness, with his son and daughter by his side. He was the widower of the late Alma T. "Sully" (Sullivan) DeRoche, who died September 16, 2008.
A son of the late Armand and the late Josephine (Richard) DeRoche, he was born September 14, 1920, in Canada, and educated in that area.
He formerly made his home on Staples Street in Lowell, before residing in Nashua, New Hampshire since 1998. He worked as a Plant Engineer for MA/COM Industries in Burlington, retiring after twenty five years of service. He was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell and a member of the Knights of Columbus, B.P.O.E. #87. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife, and was a league bowler..
He is survived by a son, Thomas DeRoche and his wife, Margaret, of Pepperell; a daughter, Susan Remillard and her husband, Ken, of Cave Creek, Arizona; his grandchildren, Philip DeRoche and his wife, Stacey, of Chelmsford, Robin DeRoche of Nashua, NH, Kimberly Landry and her husband, Thomas, of Brookline, NH, and Derek McAndrew and his wife, Marie, of Fitchburg; five great grandchildren, Arianna DeRoche, Bryan Landry, Brandon Landry, Cathleen McAndrew, and Sean McAndrew; his sisters, Ann Thomas of Andover, Eva Vieweg of Andover, and Stella of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
