Valentina C. Leite

LOWELL Valentina C. (Conde) Leite, 74, of Lowell, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, after a brief illness with her beloved family by her side. For over fifty years she was the wife of the late Juventino V. Leite, who died November 27, 2012.
A daughter of the late Bartolomeu and the late Leonilde S. (De Sousa) Conde, she was born March 5, 1939, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, was raised and educated in that area, and came to the United States in July of 1978 with her family, settling in Lowell’s Back Central Street Neighborhood where she resided until the end of last year when she relocated to her daughters home.
Valentina will be fondly remembered for her association since 1985, with her family’s business, Central Market, where you could always find her spending time with family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church and was a member of The Holy Ghost Society and Trindade. Most of all, she always enjoyed time spent with her family.
She is survived by her children, Rui J. Leite and his wife, Neia, of Florida and Maria L. Arseneault and her husband, Brian, of Lowell; her grandchildren, Max Leite of Lowell, Veronica Arseneault and Hailee Arseneault of Lowell, and Austin Leite, Shawn Leite and Tyler Leite of Florida; her sister, Isolete Simoes and her husband, Hermino, of Lowell; her brothers in law, Joao Leite and his wife, Maria, of Lowell, and Manuel Leite and his wife, Lourdes, of Graciosa, Azores, Portugal; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, and friends.
