Theodore Dennis 'Ted' Marcopoulos
LOWELL Theodore Dennis 'Ted' Marcopoulos, 71, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at his home, after a sixteen month battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of the late Sheila Ann (Hill) Marcopoulos, who died November, 16, 2009.
A son of the late Theodore and the late Lillian (Gillis) Marcopoulos, he was born July 5, 1945, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools. He served with the United States Army during the Vietnam War winning the National Defense Medal and the Marksman Medal as well as the Good Conduct Medal.
After his honorable discharge, Ted made his lifelong home in Lowell. He worked for the former Stuarts Department Store for more than twenty years, and had also worked for 4M's Variety for twenty years as well. He enjoyed time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and also enjoyed History, walking around the City, and his work where he made many friends throughout his career.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Hildreth and her husband, John, of Lowell; his nine grandchildren, Theodore, Nicholas, Alex, Victoria, Christopher, Dominic, Skylar, Mark, and Sheila Marcopoulos; his brother, James Marcopoulos and his wife, Judy, of Pelham, and Donald Spooner of Lowell; his brother in law, Thomas Hill and his wife, Veronica, of Tewksbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Grace Normandy and her husband, Robert, and the late Richard Marcopoulos.

HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 12 NOON. BURIAL IN WESTLAWN II CEMETERY.
