Thelma M. Moore
LOWELL Thelma M. Moore, of Lowell, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, surrounded by many family members at the Palm Center, Chelmsford, MA, two days shy of her 99th birthday. She was the widow of the Arthur F. Moore who passed away in October of 1997.
A daughter of the late William and the late Sarah (Moody) Wagner, she was the youngest of nine siblings, all of whom predeceased her. Thelma was born on October 17, 1915, in Dracut, was educated in Lowell, and following her marriage, resided in Lowell her entire life until her transfer to the Palm Center in 2007.
She is survived by her sons, Attorney Gerald F. Moore and his wife, Patricia (Boragine) of Hollis, NH, Kevin P. Moore and his wife, Harriet (Weber) of Riverside, RI, and Michael P Moore and his wife, Judith (Bouzan) of Englewood, FL; fifteen grandchildren, as well as seventeen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Brian A. Moore of San Francisco, CA, and is survived by his widow, Naomi (Glass) Moore and four sons.
Thelma was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, Lowell. She enjoyed a simple life as a caring daughter, loyal sister, devoted wife, loving mother, and doting grandmother and great grandmother. Her life was dedicated to her family and that remains her legacy.
Her family wishes to acknowledge and express their appreciation to the staff at the Palm Center who cared for Thelma and made her final years full, comfortable, and rewarding.
