Sr. Mary Richard Comeau, O.S.C.
ANDOVER Sr. Mary Richard Comeau, O.S.C., 89, died suddenly October 4, 2011, of a massive stroke after Sixty Six years of Religious Profession.
Sister was born April 24, 1922, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred Joseph Comeau and the late Mary Louise (Lafond) Comeau.
Sister Mary Richard entered Religious Life on January 6, 1944, and took her Solemn Profession of Vows on December 18, 1948.
Her survivors include her brother, Charles O’Connell and his wife, Doris, of Woonsocket, and their son, Michael O’Connell and his wife, Jennifer, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and their children, Charles Jason and Abigail; and their daughter, Erin Jolicoeur and her husband, Craig, of Cumberland, Rhode Island and their two children, Kyle and Payton; as well as her religious family at the Monastery of Clare, Andover.
Sister was predeceased by her brother who died at the age of three.
SISTER MARY RICHARD WILL LIE IN STATE ON FRIDAY, OCT. 7, AT THE MONASTERY OF ST. CLARE, 445 RIVER RD., ANDOVER FROM 2 UNTIL 5 P.M. WITH A WAKE SERVICE TO BE HELD AT 4 P.M. ON FRIDAY.
