Shirley Tareila
LOWELL Shirley (Aubrey)(Tyrrell) Tareila, 93, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Meadow View Center in North Reading.
Born October 16, 1922, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Leo F. and the late Mary E. (Welch) Aubrey. She was educated at the Immaculate Conception Grammar School, graduating from Lowell High School, in 1940.
Formerly of Belvidere, she resided at River Place Towers since 1973, and was a member of the League of Catholic Women and the Poor Clare Guild.
Mrs. Tareila was employed in the scheduling department of Vertipile Inc. for forty years before her retirement in 1985.
She was married to the late Robert H. Tareila and the late Harold F. Tyrrell and is survived by her sister, Mrs. Mary Bakunowski of Phoenix, Arizona; two nieces, Susan Ross of Phoenix, Arizona, and Karen Fathy of Palmdale, California; five nephews, Scott Aubrey of Dunbarton, NH, Francis Aubrey of Lowell, Stephen, Brian, and Michael Bakunowski all of Phoenix Arizona; and several cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was also the sister of the late James Aubrey, the late Harold Aubrey, the late Gerald S. Aubrey, and the late Francis Aubrey.
