Shirley A. Sheehan
DRACUT Shirley A. (Stewart) Sheehan, 82, of Dracut, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at D’Youville Senior Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph A. Sheehan Sr. who died in 1996.
The daughter of the late Alansen E. and the late Odelina F. (Hamelin) Stewart Scally, she was born November 18, 1926, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools.
She made her home in Lowell before residing in Dracut, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, and Saint Francis Church. Shirley enjoyed spending her summers at Salisbury Beach, reading, traveling, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her three sons, Joseph A. Sheehan Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Dracut, Richard J. Sheehan of Tewksbury, and Lance J. Sheehan of Dracut; four grandchildren, Melissa L. Sheehan of Lowell, Jennifer A. Lane and her husband, Jonathan, of Pepperell, Nicole A. Sheehan of Dracut, and Brian J. Sheehan of Dracut; six great grandchildren, Jordon, Jason, Steven, Jacob, Joseph and Jack; a brother in law James R. Sheehan of Dracut, two sisters in law, Hazel Sheehan of Brookline, and Elizabeth Duggan of Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
