Sarah Anne ‘Sue’ McLaughlin
LOWELL       Sarah Anne ‘Sue’ (Rynne) McLaughlin, 76, of Lowell, died Sunday, February 22, 2009, at Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness.   She was the widow of the late Raymond H. McLaughlin who passed away in 1985.
         A daughter of the late John J. and the late Anne T. (Bowers) Rynne, she was born November 23, 1932, in Somerville.  At an early age, she moved to Lowell and was raised by her aunt, Bertha Kelleher on South Whipple Street.  She received her educated through the Lowell School System.
       A homemaker for most of her lifetime, she loved children and will be fondly remembered by many children as ‘Grandma’, as she was kind, had lots of patience, and always treated children she encountered as well as she treated her own grandchildren.  In more recent years, she enjoyed the company and good friends of the D’Youville Senior Adult Day Care Program.
       She is survived by nine children, John McLaughlin of Lowell, James McLaughlin of Dracut, Susan Watson of Groton, Joseph McLaughlin of Lowell, William McLaughlin of Lowell, Ann Theresa MacDonald of Lowell, Catherine Pollard and her husband, Sean, of Methuen, Marguerite McLaughlin of Lowell, and Thomas McLaughlin and his wife, Lisa, of Dracut; her grandchildren, Joseph McLaughlin, Joyce McLaughlin, Jade McLaughlin, Corey McLaughlin, and Courtney McLaughlin, and Scott MacDonald, Michelle MacDonald, and Lee-Anne MacDonald, Deanne Watson and Andrew Watson, Sean Pollard and Thomas Pollard, and Robert Lessard and Daniel Lessard; great grandchildren, Joshua Stancliff, Alex McLaughlin, Daniel ‘DJ’ Lessard and Lincoln Lessard; her brothers and sisters, Phyllis Rynne, Duncan Rynne, Peggy Devers, Daniel Rynne, and David Rynne; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
       She was also the sister of the late John Rynne and the late William Rynne, the mother in law of the late Carol McLaughlin, and Don Watson.
 

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY.  

ON FRIDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. 

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH AT 10 A.M..
