Sandra E. ‘Sandie’ Filiatrault
LOWELL Sandra E. ‘Sandie’ (Carlson) Filiatrault, 63, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 6, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Dennis Filiatrault with whom she shared the last 45 years of marriage.
She was born in Lowell on October 22, 1954 and was a daughter of the late Richard Carlson and the late Nancy (Johnston) Carlson. She was raised in Lowell where she attended the area schools, graduating from Lowell High School with the class of 1972.
She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved creating memories and family traditions. Sandra enjoyed spending time at their family beach house, watching her grandchildren’s activities, and taking family vacations. She also enjoyed gardening and shopping.
In addition to her husband, Dennis Filiatrault of Lowell, she is survived by her three children, Kristen Pierce and her husband, Kurt of Lancaster, Amie Ippolito and her husband, Anthony of Pepperell, and Dennis John Filiatrault and his wife, Kara of Brookline, NH; and her grandchildren, Kyleigh Pierce, Gavin Ippolito, Kameron Pierce, Adam Ippolito, Kourtney Pierce, and Colton Filiatrault. She is also survived by her dog, Benji; her siblings, Robert Carlson and his wife, Karen of Dracut, and Ellen Valcourt and her husband, Larry of Tyngsborough; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, the late Barbara Carlson.

ON WEDNESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 9 A.M. FOLLOWED BY PROCESSION TO THE LAWRENCE STREET PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHURCH, 1199 LAWRENCE STREET, LOWELL AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT LOWELL CEMETERY.
