Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Sister

CHELMSFORD Sandra C. MacDonald, “Grammy”, 82, of Chelmsford, died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at UMASS Memorial Health Care Center, after a long illness. She had shared her life with her beloved husband (late) George L. MacDonald for the past sixty four years, and had celebrated their Fifty Ninth Wedding Anniversary.
A daughter of the late George and the late Marie (Trottier) Manousos, she was born on March 16, 1932, in Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School and the Lee Institute of Real Estate. She worked in many local businesses over the years in the clerical and secretarial field and as a Senior Aide at the Chelmsford Senior Center for fourteen years, helping seniors with fuel assistance.
She made her home in Chelmsford for many years before moving to Sunrise Assisted Living of Leominster where she made many friends.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed vacations on Cape Cod and being with her grandchildren. She was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout Den Mother.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Peter MacDonald and his wife, Lorraine (Lambert) MacDonald of Sterling; her sister, Muriel (Manousos) Drake of Westford; her brother, Charles Manousos of Maine; her grandchildren, Lt. Hannah MacDonald, USN, Dr. Jocelyne MacDonald, and Nathaniel MacDonald all of Sterling, Rebecca Trudel and Stephanie Trudel of Westford, and Amy Lambert and Elise Lambert of Amherst, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Nancy MacDonald

ON SATURDAY, HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT SAINT MARY PARISH, 25 NORTH RD., CHELMSFORD AT 9 A.M.. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL AT PINE RIDGE CEMETERY IN CHELMSFORD.
