Rose (Marzullo) Viggiano
LOWELL Rose (Marzullo) Viggiano, 96, a lifelong resident of Lowell, passed away, Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Penacook Place in Haverhill. She was the widow of the late James Viggiano who passed away in 1996 and to whom she was married for 53 years before his passing.
Mrs. Viggiano leaves five children, James Viggiano of East Boston and his longtime girlfriend, Cindy Higgins of Jamaica Plain, John Viggiano and his wife, Rosemary of Milford, NH, Nancy Belanger DeBona of Derry, NH, Michael Viggiano and his wife, Theresa of Nashua, NH, and her son in law, Paul Beauchamp of Deerfield, NH. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Steven Viggiano and his wife, Niamh, Cheryl Nowak and her husband, Thomas, Karen Belanger and her longtime boyfriend, Nick Pringle, Amy Binda and her husband, Kevin, and Elizabeth Viggiano; and eight great grandchildren, William, Joseph and Robert Nowak, Jeremy & Nathan Binda, and Faith, Amelia Mae and Noah Viggiano; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and many friends.
Mrs. Viggiano was the daughter of the late Donato A. and the late Theresa Mary (Amoruso) Marzullo. She was educated in the Lowell School System and was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1937. Mrs. Viggiano served for many years as a Teacher’s Aide at the Shaughnessy School.
Since her retirement, she volunteered at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital and at the Chelmsford Senior Center as a volunteer coordinator. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church.
She was predeceased by her daughter, the late Janice Beauchamp, her siblings, the late Helen Miller and her husband, Leonard, the late Josephine Georges Miller, the late John Marzullo, and the late Vito Marzullo; and her sons in law, the late Ronald Belanger and the late Jose DeBona.
