Rose Vartouhi Narzakian
LOWELL Rose Vartouhi Narzakian, 92, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at Radius Northwood Health Care Center after a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Michael and the late Lucy (Moujakian) Narzakian, she was born November 23, 1921, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools.
Rose made her lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in North Andover. She worked for Raytheon Corporation in South Lowell for more than thirty years before her retirement, and had also worked in the family store, Harry’s Variety Store, which was located at the corner of Ames and Central Street. For over sixty years, she was a member of the Armenian Relief Society, and she enjoyed working at the Lowell Folk Festival at the Armenian food booth.
She is survived by her cousins, Felix Hovanesyan of Armenia and Araxi Ajemian of Armenia; and many close friends, especially Angele Dulgarian and her husband, Steve, of Chelmsford.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Casper Narzakian, and her twin brother, Harry Narzakian.
Friends of Rose N. Narzakian would like to thank all those at Northwood, including the hospice staff, for the special care given to Rose during her time there.
