Rose M. Bordeleau
LOWELL Rose M. (Amico) Bordeleau, 87, a lifelong Lowell resident, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was the widow of the late Robert F. Bordeleau who died in December 2000 after Fifty Three years of Marriage.
A daughter of the late Salvatore Amico and the late Josephine Amico-Cardella, she was born February 2, 1929, in Lowell, and grew up in the Back Central Street area of the City and attended the local schools.
Raising her large family was her greatest passion and commitment, and she was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and loved spending time with her family and being part of the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Rose worked as a waitress for the Rex, the Paramount, Kresge's, Bill Burns Catering, and Vesper Country Club. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting. She made her lifelong home in Lowell, residing in the Back Central Street neighborhood before making her home at Rogers Hall for several years.
She is survived by her seven daughters, Joanne Faticanti and her husband, Frank, of Lowell, Linda M. Thibault and her husband, Michael, of Litchfield, NH, Donna J. Myron and her husband, Arthur, of Pepperell, Patricia E. Langlais and her husband, Leo, of Lowell, Debra L. Stalnaker and her husband, Jamie, of Holderness, NH, Roberta M. Powers and her husband Jay, of Sarasota, FL, and Brenda L. Hickey and her husband, George of Lowell; her twenty one grandchildren; her twenty one great grandchildren with her twenty second great grandchild due in November; her two step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Charles Amico, the late Joseph Amico, the late Michael Amico, and the late Florence Vadala.


ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 7, YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 2 UNTIL 6 P.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.

ON MONDAY, AUGUST 8, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, 144 EAST MERRIMACK ST., LOWELL, AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS IN HER NAME TO ST. JUDE’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, P.O. BOX 1000, DEPT 142, MEMPHIS, TN 38148-0142 WILL BE APPRECIATED.
