Rose M. Ferguson

Rose M. (Legere) Ferguson, 84, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Fairhaven Health Care Center after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the widow of the late Raymond W. Ferguson who died in 1987.

Born May 20, 1928, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and the late Blanche (Sevigny) Legere, and was educated in the local schools.

Rose had made her home on Third Street for more than fourteen years, then Park Street for several years and more recently, she made her home on Summer Street. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.

Mrs. Ferguson had worked for the Lowell Shoe Company, the Grace Shoe Company, and the Boott Mills, before becoming affiliated with Empire Linen Service for over fifteen years.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Raymond H. Ferguson of Lowell, and Mr. and Mrs. William J. (Kathleen) Ferguson of Windham, New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Alanna K. Ferguson and Luke W. Ferguson both of Windham, New Hampshire, and Raymond Ferguson and Kelly Eno both of Lowell; two great grandchildren, Alexis and Bryant Eno of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also the sister of the late Jeannette Pikos and the late Harvey Legere.
