Robin L. (Murphy) Mendonca

LOWELL Robin L. (Murphy) Mendonca, 48, of North Andover, passed unexpectedly on Monday, September 22, 2014. She was a loving wife of John Mendonca since 1988, and an amazing mother of 3 children: Heather Mendonca, Christopher Mendonca, and Julia Mendonca. She will be missed very much by her family.

Beloved daughter of Mary Ann (Murphy) and John Martino of Lynn, she was born on January 10, 1966. She attended local schools and graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business.

The thing her loved ones will miss the most about Robin will be her big bright smile that never left her face, and her contagious laughter that usually came with it. She was the sweetest women with an outlook on life that was optimistic and cloudless.
Robin was the most crafty mother around, whether it was sewing her daughter’s prom dress, redecorating various rooms in the house, creating and selling things at local craft fairs, everything she made was with love. When she wasn’t making things, she would be outside all day taking care of her flowers in her garden.

Robin loved to help volunteer at local North Andover schools for her children when she could. And dreamed of becoming a substitute teacher or teachers aid. Before her children, she was employed for the City of Lynn and for Maine Woods for many years. Robin was also a parishioner of Saint Michael Parish in North Andover.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her siblings: Ronald Murphy of Newburyport, Susan Chambers and her husband, Kevin of Columbus, OH, and Mari Connolly of Seabrook, NH. She is also survived by her brothers in law, Virginio Mendonça of Chelmsford, and Steve Mendonça and his wife, Elizabeth of Lowell; her mother and father in law, Manuel B. Mendonça and his wife, Maria I. of Lowell. She was also the sister in law of the late Ana Veillette of Lowell. Robin will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26. ON SATURDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL (978 OR 800) 458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT SAINT MICHAEL PARISH, 196 MAIN STREET, NORTH ANDOVER, MA AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN RIDGEWOOD CEMETERY IN NORTH ANDOVER.
