Robert Timothy ‘Buzz’ Lowney
LOWELL Robert Timothy ‘Buzz’ Lowney, 49, of Lowell, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 11, 2009.
A son of Robert F. and Mary L. (Martin) Lowney of Lowell, he was born October 6, 1959, in Lowell, and attended the Peter W. Reilly Elementary School and Greater Lowell Technical High School, graduating with the Class of 1977, specializing in Machine Shop.
He worked at Fletcher’s Quarry and Gilmets Quarry as a granite cutter, owned his own business, Baystate Deleading, and worked in building restoration.
Bob took pride in working with stone, and in his spare time was a boxing trainer and coach working through the West End Gym and was an avid sportsfan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and made his home in Lowell and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
In addition to his parents, Robert and Mary, he is survived by three children, Alyssa Raymond of Reading, and Mara and Jordan Chaplick of Haverhill; his sisters, Sandra M. Minutolo and her husband, John, of North Chelmsford, and Carolyn A. Lucas and her husband, Michael, of Tyngsboro; and was uncle to Christine, Melissa, Holly, and Nicholas Minutolo and Megan, Brian, and Patrick Murphy, and Thomas Lucas; and is survived by several aunts, unlces, and cousins.

ON MONDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.
HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH AT 10 A.M..
