Robert J. Moran
PORTLAND, ME Robert J. Moran, 78, of Portland, Maine, formerly of Lowell, died Sunday, January 13, 2013, in Portland, Maine. He was a son of the late Arthur P. and the late Christina Isabella (O’Neil) Moran.
Born September 3, 1934, in Lowell, he was educated in the Lowell School System, and joined the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge he returned to the Lowell area.
For over twenty years, Mr. Moran worked in the hotel industry, and enjoyed trips to Maine.
He is survived by his brothers, Gerald P. Moran of Chelmsford and Thomas E. Moran and his wife, Irene, of Chelmsford; his sister, Mary T. Muldoon and her husband, Francis B., of Lowell; his nieces, Wendy Robbins, Stephanie Ludwig, Alison Polesi, Amy Moran, and Tiffany Avilla; four grand nephews; and two grand nieces.
He was also the brother of the late John ‘Jack’ Moran.
