Rita Mae Perry
CHELMSFORD Rita Mae (Boyle) Perry, 89, of Chelmsford, died May 22, 2008 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the widow of the late Henry Perry.
A daughter of the late Eugene F. Boyle and the late Annie (Pollard) McDowell, she was born June 18, 1918, in Lowell, and raised and educated in Lowell.
Rita and her husband owned and operated Lincoln Cleaners for more than thirty years. She also worked as a receptionist for an area hair salon, and spent a lot of her time babysitting. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church, and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality, and a life member of the Holy Ghost Society. Rita always loved children and animals, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed time spent with relatives, friends and neighbors, and will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
Although Rita had no children of her own, she leaves behind a number of loving and devoted family members with whom she freely shared her constant love, guidance, and support. She was also the sister of the late Anne Gannon, the late Margaret McDowell, the late Brendan McDowell, the late William McDowell, the late Frederick McDowell, and the late Alice Stepanon.
AT HER REQUEST, BURIAL TOOK PLACE PRIVATELY IN ST. PATRICK CEMETERY AND A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD AT ST. ANTHONY'S CHURCH IN LOWELL ON SATURDAY JUNE 7 AT 5 P.M..
