Rita E. Fratus
CHELMSFORD Rita E. (Salois) Fratus, 80, of Chelmsford, died Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Palm Manor Nursing Home after a long illness.
A daughter of the late Leo R. and the late Catherine (Curry) Salois, she was born March 25, 1929, in Lowell, and grew up in the Acre Section of the City, and was educated in the local schools, attending St. Patrick’s School and Lowell High School, and was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church, where she had been active with the C.Y.O.
After having resided in Lowell most of her lifetime, she later moved to Chelmsford. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and especially enjoyed family gatherings taking great pride in the many accomplishments of her large family.
She is survived by her children, Brendan J. Fratus of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Richard C. Fratus of Boston, Susan M. Fratus of Hampton, NH, Michael A. Fratus of Lowell, Catherine A. Fratus of Lowell, and Stephen C. Fratus of Boston; her grandchildren, Mark Joel Wilson of Lowell, Sarah Wilson of Lowell, Kristen Fratus of Lowell, Katie Fratus of Lowell, and Zachary Fratus of Hampton, NH; her brother, Charles V. Salois and his wife, Claire, of Salem, NH; her sister, Kathleen Schoeberle of Randleman, NC and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Eleanor Crowley.
