Richard M. Kasilowski
LOWELL Richard M. Kasilowski, 73, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Monday, June 14, 2010, at his home after a brief illness with cancer. He was the widower of the late Patricia R. (Pierce) Kasilowski who died in 2001.
A son of the late Francis McAnespie and the late Stella (Kasilowski) McAnespie, he was born May 17, 1937, in Lowell, and was educated in the Lowell School System. After high school he served with the United States Army.
He made his lifelong home in Lowell, and was a member of the former Sacred Heart Parish. He worked as a chemical handler for Raytheon Corp. in South Lowell for over twenty five years. More recently he worked in the Andover facility until his retirement in 1999.
Mr. Kasilowski was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 662, Walker Rogers as well as a member of the Chelmsford Lodge of Elks. He loved spending time at home with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his garden, camping, and deep sea fishing expeditions with his boys.
He is survived by his three sons, Richard M. Kasilowski Jr., of Lowell, James W. Kasilowski and his friend, Colleen Coughlin, of Lowell, and Thomas Kasilowski and his wife, Lorrie, of Dracut; his grandchildren, Patricia A. Kasilowski of Lowell, Kristen L. Kasilowski of Lowell, Justin T. Kasilowski of Dracut, and Mikaela L. Kasilowski of Dracut; his brothers, his brothers, Peter McAnespie and his friend, Sandy, of Billerica, and Kenny McAnespie of Lowell; his sister, Carol Pierce and her husband, James, of Pelham, NH; his sisters in law, Helen Quigley of Lowell, Winona Allen of Lowell, Maureen Coutu and her husband, Bob, of Lowell, and Richard Pierce of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also a brother of the late Frank McAnespie and the late Larry McAnespie, and brother in law of the late Rita Dumont, the late Bob Dumont, the late Richard Quigley, and the late Frank Allen.
