Raymond W. St. Armand


LOWELL Raymond W. St. Armand, 79, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus, after a brief illness with his entire family at his side. Since June 26, 1955, he was the beloved husband of Marie T. (Lafreniere) St. Armand.

A son of the late Arthur Duprez and the late Alice V. (Lanier) Duprez, he was born July 1, 1934, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools, attending St. Joseph’s School. He worked in the area Shoe Shops and Lowell Mills before joining the United States Army where he served for twenty three years before retiring in 1994. He worked in the construction field throughout the area for over forty years, later working as a Leather Fabricator with Compo for over fifteen years.

He made his home in the Highlands Section of the City before residing in Belvidere, and was a lifelong member of the Pawtucketville Social Club on University Avenue. Mr. St. Armand enjoyed time spent with his family as well as fishing, Bingo, and playing cards.

In addition to his beloved wife, Marie, he is survived by his daughter, Nancy G. Ozella and her husband, Richard, of Merrimack, NH; his son, Richard A. St. Armand and his wife, Florence, of Anchorage, AK; his grandchildren, Adam Fallon and his wife, Phuong "Jessie", of Malden, Ryan Fallon, Technical Sergeant E6, USAF and his wife, Lindsay, stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany with the United States Air Force, Matthew Ozella and his wife, Jenni, of Nashville, TN ,Jamison Ozella and Cody Ozella of Merrimack, NH, Bryan St. Armand and his wife, Janie, of California, Andrew St. Armand and his wife, Amberley, of Anchorage, AK, and Jennifer St. Armand of Anchorage, AK; his great grandchildren, Mikaela Fallon and Benjamin St. Armand; his brother, Arthur Duprez and his wife, Shirley, of Florida; his sister, Joanne Jolin and her husband, Russell, of Merrimack, NH; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the father of the late Barbara (St. Armand) Fallon who died in 1990, and grandfather of the late Erin Fallon who suffered with Cystic Fibrosis.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON THURSDAY, AUG 22, AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. ON FRIDAY, HIS FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 A.M.
