Raymond Devon ‘Boozie’ Busenburg
LOWELL Raymond D. ‘Boozie’ Busenburg, 61, of Lowell, formerly of Billerica, died unexpectedly, Monday, June 15, 2009, at Elliott Hospital in Manchester, NH. He was the husband of Joelyn L. (Johnson) Busenburg.
A son of the late Raymond D. Busenburg and Alice R. (Atchison) Johnson, he was born August 26, 1947, in Warsaw, Indiana, and was educated in that area. He enlisted in the United States Army where he was a Paratrooper for the 101st Airborne Division, ‘Flying Eagles’, during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he lived all over the United States, most recently in Indiana, before moving to Billerica and then Lowell. An avid hunter, he wrote a book about tracking and hunting. In addition, he loved the ocean, day trips to the casinos, playing golf, and especially cooking, mostly on the grill.
He worked as a tool and die maker for General Electric in Hooksett, New Hampshire.
Besides his wife, Joelyn and his mother, Alice, he is survived by his children, his grandchildren, a sister, three brothers, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
