                            Manuel B. Quadros
LOWELL Manuel B. Quadros, 70, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at his home. He was the husband of Maria Conceicao (Faustino) Quadros.
Born October 15, 1937, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Antonio M., and the late Irailda E. (Bettencourt) Quadros, attended the local schools, was a Government Worker in Graciosa. He served in the Portuguese Army before immigrating the the United States in 1973 with his wife and two children.
He resided in Lowell's Back Central Street Area, and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, he was also a member of the Portuguese American Center. He was employed as a machine operator with Alto Tronics in Burlington for 17 years, and recently retired from Comet Products in Chelmsford after 11 years. He enjoyed maintaining his vineyards, and always looked forward to making wine once a year with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife , Maria, he is survived by his son, Joao "Jim" Quadros and Anabela DaCosta of Lowell, and his daughter, Maria Stevens, and her husband, Ricky, of Derry, NH, four Grandchildren; Nadine, Justin, and Monique Quadros, and Cameron Brum, his brothers; Celerino and his wife, Grace Quadros, of Tewksbury, Dionisio Quadros of Lowell, a sister, Maria and her husband, Elpidio Teles, of Dracut. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON FRIDAY. ON SATURDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE McDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL (978 OR 800) 458-6816.
