Peter Silva
LOWELL Peter M. ‘Pete’ Silva, 69, of Lowell, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ann (Evans) Silva, since December 19, 1964, having just celebrated their Forty Eighth Wedding Anniversary.
A son of the late Peter and the late Agnes (Stirk)(Silva) Booras, he was born August 14, 1943, in Lowell, and grew up in Lowell and Bristol, Connecticut, and was educated in the Lowell Schools.
He made his home in Lowell and worked in the auto industry his entire life. In 1986, he started his own shop, Pete’s Garage in Tyngsboro. His hobbies were working on old cars and antique car shows. He also enjoyed watching old movies and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his children, Howard F. Silva of Lowell, Laurie A. Silva of Lowell, Jo-Ann P. Lobao of East Berne, NY, Peter G. Silva of Lowell, Christine A. Hannigan and her husband, David A., of Methuen, and Christopher D. Silva and his wife, Gretchen E., of Lowell; twenty five grandchildren including Tyler, Lindsay, Darrien, Christina, Cameron, Arianna, and Serina; five great grandchildren; a cousin, Manuel Silva and his wife, Theana; as well as many friends, including Brad Doane of Londonderry, NH, Billy Willis of Nashua, NH, Joe Boldeia of Dracut, Bob Kelly of Leominster, and Bruce Cayer of Tyngsboro.
