Catherine R. ‘Kay' (Farley) Pelletier
LOWELL Catherine R. ‘Kay’ (Farley) Pelletier, 81, a lifelong resident of the Lowell area, died April 25, 2008 at Blair House of Tewksbury after a prolonged illness.
A daughter of the late Edward F. and the late Maria (Mahan) Farley, she was born May 16, 1926 in Lowell, and educated in the local schools.
She formerly made her home on Davis Terrace before residing on Gorham Street, and was a member of the former St. Peter’s Parish. She worked for the Lowell Counter Company as a packer before her retirement, and enjoyed being a homemaker. Kay was also a member of the Community Family Day Care Center. In addition to spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed bingo, music, and had an excellent singing voice.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra DuHamel and her husband, Phillip, of Lowell; a grand daughter, Stephanie DuHamel of Lowell; a grandson, Phillip DuHamel Jr. of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters and brothers, Rita Meagher, Anna Flood, Mary Santos, Helen Rogers, Elizabeth Maguire, Sarah Thibodeau, Dorothy Rondeau, Peter Farley, Edward Farley, John Farley, Matthew Farley and Margaret Farley, whom she took care of before she passed away.
