Pauline A. "Nana" McCullough
"Beloved Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend"
LOWELL Pauline A. (Woessner) McCullough, 79, a lifelong Lowell resident, died peacefully, Friday, October 15, 2010, at Saints Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born July 20, 1931, in Lowell, she was a daughter of the late Gustave E. Woessner and the late Fay (Hood) Young, attended the local schools, and graduated from Lowell High School.
She made her lifelong home in Lowell and was a member of the Chelmsford Street Baptist Church in Lowell. She worked as a housekeeper at St. John’s Hospital and Country View Nursing Home, and also worked at Sears and Roebuck. When she wasn’t sharing time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she enjoyed the beach, yard sales and flea markets, and Senior meals at the YMCA and other Lowell Senior Citizen Organizations. She also enjoyed television and music, specifically Court TV and Sunday Country Oldies on Stations WOKQ 97.5 and WKLB 102.5, as well as enjoyed the Gaither Gospel Singers. She also enjoyed taking care of her plants and flowers in her backyard.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte E. McCullough of Lowell, Cheryl A. Savvas and her boyfriend, Marcos Teixeira, of Tewksbury, Diane P. Baez of Lowell, Charles S. McCullough and Kristen McCullough of Dracut, Cathy L. Hebert and her husband, Armand, of Lowell, and David A. McCullough and his girlfriend, Suzanne Dupras, and her daughter, Erica, of Lowell; fourteen grandchildren, Tony McCullough and his wife, Melissa, Nick McCullough, Kristin and Matthew Beaudry, Joseph and Stephanie Baez, Jonathan Rodriguez, Angela, Shaylee, and Cameron McCullough, and Tabitha, Rachel, Katelyn, and Danielle Hebert; six great grandchildren, Charlie-Emma, Joey, Aryana, Jordan, Shawn, and Jaylyn, and three expected great grandchildren within the next few months; her sister, best friend and identical twin, Phyllis Goulakos of Lowell, and her sister Martha O'Day and her husband, Jamie, of Weymouth, as well as the entire McCullough family of many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was a former wife of the late Charles L. McCullough,
grandmother of the late Charles J. "Chucky" McCullough, and a sister of the late Faye McCullough and the late Barbara Pagajuan.
Pauline's family would also like to extend a special thanks to the first responders and staff of Saints Medical Center for their exceptional care and kindness.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS 3 UNTIL 8 P.M. ON TUESDAY. ON WEDNESDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816.
