Loving Wife, Mother and Friend
LOWELL Paula J. (Totoni) Ward, 54, of Lowell, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was the wife of Michael G. Ward, with whom she celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary this past September 27.
A daughter of the late Victor V. and the late Viola (Mantho) Totoni, she was born December 12, 1956, in Boston, and was raised and educated in Lynn, graduating from Lynn Classical High School, before attending Stonehill College in Easton, majoring in Psychology.
After her marriage to Michael, she moved to Lowell, and worked as a Paraprofessional in the Lowell School System, most recently at the Shaughnessy School in Lowell. Her hobbies included playing the piano and reading.
In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her daughter, Caitlin M. Ward of Lowell; her sister, Pamela Kurpes and her husband, Alex, of Lowell, and one niece, and four nephews, as well as many friends from the Lowell School Department.
