Patti Ann DeMeuse
DRACUT Patti Ann DeMeuse, 51, of Dracut, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a beloved daughter of Edward J. DeMeuse of Milford, NH and Kathleen A. (Penl) DeMeuse of Melbourne Beach, FL.
She was born on July 20, 1966, at Warner Robbins Air Force Base in Georgia and took part in the Special Education Program at Chelmsford High School. From 1988 to 1998 she worked with the Merrimack Education Collaborative and from 1998 to most recently, she worked as a part of Life Links.
Known for her smile and kindness, Patti was always ready to give out big hugs and kisses. She enjoyed many pastimes; whether it was dancing, bowling or a rousing game of wiffle ball. In her early years, she participated in the Special Olympics, winning multiple medals in running events. Above all, Patti enjoyed being part of the group and making those around her happy. She was a wonderful friend who brought people together. Patti especially loved the holidays; during Christmas, she played “Santa” at the family get-togethers and on Halloween, she loved to dress up and hand out candy. Patti was always willing to lend a helping hand, either setting the table, pushing the cart at the grocery store, or tying on her apron and working her “magic” in the kitchen. With Mr. Monkey by her side, Patti loved watching her TV shows, mostly Sprouts and anything Disney. It was rare to see Patti without her favorite Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in hand.
Besides her loving parents, Edward and Kathleen, she is survived by her siblings, Mark DeMeuse and his wife, Kathy, Diane Holman and her husband, Scott, Marlaina Higgins and her husband, John, Terri Ryan and her husband, Gary, Sandra Felch and her husband, Chris, and Janet Greska and her husband, Jason. She was a loving aunt to her four nephews, Miles Holman, Michael Higgins, Brendan Holman, and Brady Ryan and her five nieces, Jaclyn Higgins, Jezlyn Greska, Morgan Felch, Karis Greska, and Cait Felch. She will be greatly missed by her housemates, Julie, Lisa, Mary Ann, and Linda and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Ryan and his amazing staff at MGH as well as Dr. Wu and all the wonderful nurses at Care Dimensions Hospice. Their compassion and care allowed Patti’s last weeks to be filled with love, laughter, and fond memories of her family by her side.
