Patricia A. David
LONDONDERRY NH Patricia A. (Taff) David, 81, formerly of Dracut, Harpswell, Maine, and Londonderry, New Hampshire, died July 14, 2009, at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born in Lowell, on June 17, 1928, to Edward and Mary (Mahan) Taff. She married Clarence E. David on August 30, 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Lowell. She lived most of her life in Dracut, enjoyed a summer cottage in Mill Cove Harpswell, Maine from 1974 to 1987, then moved to her retirement home on Middle Bay, Harpswell. In 1999 she moved to Londonderry to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
While in Dracut, she volunteered for many years at the former St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lowell. While in Maine, she was a volunteer cook and waitress at the soup kitchen in Brunswick. In Londonderry, she volunteered to bake for migrant workers through St. Matthews Church.
Patricia loved to cook and bake and was excellent at it. She loved to crotchet lap robes for the elderly and cancer patients. She yearly enjoyed February and March in Clearwater Beach in Florida and also enjoyed several cruises to the Caribbean and to Alaska.
Her family includes her beloved husband of Sixty One years, Clarence; her three daughters, Barbara Olin, Nancy Goes, and Mary David; her seven sons, James, Kenneth, Richard, Robert, Donald, John, and Edward; and numerous grand children and great grandchildren.
In death, she will be joining her two children, Mark David who died in 1998 and Linda Montgomery who died this year.
She is also survived by her sisters, Rita Compher, Jacqueline Reidy, and Sandra Eagan as well as her brother, Joseph Taff.
