Oline Dorothy ‘Olie’ (Hanson) Tessier
LOWELL Oline Dorothy ‘Olie’ (Hanson) Tessier, 74, a longtime resident of Branch Street in Lowell, passed away after a long illness Friday, April 21, 2017 at D’Youville Health and Wellness Community.
She was born in Malden, MA on October 2, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Dana M. Hanson and the late Oline D. (Staal) Hanson. Olie was raised in Sudbury where she attended the area schools before moving to Lowell, where she resided since the 1960’s.
Olie resided in the Branch Street neighborhood of Lowell for many years. She worked as a nursing assistant at many local nursing homes. Most people would remember Olie for her devine love of cats. She enjoyed cross-stitching and adored time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Olie is survived by her children, John M. Hanson and his wife, Jenny of Lowell, and Donald R. Tessier and his companion, Laura Marchand of Madison, NC. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Katie Hanson of Lowell, Hannah Tessier of North Carolina, and Kerri Santos of North Carolina. In addition, she leaves her five siblings, and many neices and nephews.
Her family would like to thank everyone at the B Wing of D'Youville Manor for all of their help during this difficult time.
