LOWELL Nazare 'Naza' (Sousa) Carvalho, 68, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Friday, November 8, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of the late Lucas F. Carvalho Sr..
Born March 2, 1945, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil she was a daughter of the late Elias P. Resende, and the late Sabastiana R. Sousa, and she attended local schools in Brazil. She came to Lowell in 1967 to join her husband, and start her family. She proudly became a citizen of the United States in 2007.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, and was employed as an inspector for over 25 years at Joann Fabrics in Lowell.
She is survived by her three sons, Lucas F. Carvalho Jr. and his wife, Tara of Weymouth, Marcelo S. Carvalho and his wife, Eileen of South Windsor, CT, and Nicholas S. Carvalho and his wife, Keylla of Dracut; six beloved grandchildren, Seliana, Sarah, and Lucas Carvalho, and Isabella, Lucia, and Maria Carvalho; as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends in the United States and Brazil.

AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. ANTHONY'S CHURCH, 893 CENTRAL STREET, LOWELL AT 9 A.M.. BURIAL IN WESTLAWN CEMETERY.
