Molly J. McLaughlin

LOWELL Molly J. (Tallent) McLaughlin, 76, of Lowell, formerly of Norfolk, England, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the widow of the late Brendon E. McLaughlin, with whom she had celebrated their Fifty First Wedding Anniversary before his death.
Born June 5, 1932, in Norfolk, England, she was a daughter of the late Robert and the late Olive Tallent. She grew up and was educated in that area, coming to the United States in 1954, settling in Lowell. She worked for Mobil Chemicals , Bellofram, and more recently worked for over ten years for Smith and Nephew Dionics.
Molly enjoyed watching wrestling and baseball, playing cards, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved going to Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and attending flea markets.
She is survived by five children, Carolyn M. Lefebvre, Michael McLaughlin, David A. McLaughlin, Teresa A. McLaughlin, and Barbara McLaughlin all of Lowell; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Chapman and her husband, Keith, of Canada; and her close friend, Navy Hok of Lowell.
She was also the mother of the late Stephen McLaughlin who died in 1985, and sister of the late Michael Tallent who passed away in 2007.
