Miriam C. Shepard
LOWELL Miriam C. (Rohwedder) Shepard, 89, of Lowell, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Radius Northwood Health Care in Lowell. She was the widow of the late Donald H. Shepard.
Born October 5, 1918, in Somerville, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinhand and the late Amelia Rohwedder, and was educated in the Burlington and Lexington school systems. She worked as a secretary with John Hancock Insurance in Boston until her marriage. She then moved to Lowell with her husband, Donald, and worked for Kelly Sheet Metal for many years until her retirement.
Miriam then relocated to Ft. Myers, Florida, where she made her home until the death of her husband. Returning to Lowell, she enjoyed watching television sports, especially golf, family parties, writing letters to her friends, bingo, quilting, and crotcheting. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
She is survived by her three children, Donald Shepard and his wife, Christine, of Nashua, NH, Robert Shepard and his wife, Joan, of Hawthorne, FL, and Mary Lou Sicard and her husband, Paul, of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Scot Shepard and his wife, Ellen, Jodi Ahern and her husband, Kevin, Michele LaGrega and her husband, Rob, Keith Sicard, Kimberly Legee and her husband, Jeff, Christopher O'Neil, and Donald Shepard; fifteen great grandchildren;a sister Phyllis Pearsons of Beverly and a brother Frederick Rohwedder of Biddford Pool, ME and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the grandmother of the late Jay Shepard; sister of the late Ferdinahand Rohwedder the late Eugene Rohwedder the late Arthur Rohwedder and the late Dorothy Wescott.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER FUNERAL AND CALLING HOURS 4 UNTIL 8 FRIDAY.

ON SATURDAY, HER FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 8 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL (978 OR 800) 458-6816.

HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH AT 9 A.M. 115 MIDDLESEX ST. N. CHELMSFORD.
