Mikaela ‘Mickey’ Merced

LOWELL Mikaela ‘Mickey’ Merced, 24, of Methuen, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Tewksbury Hospital, peacefully with her family by her side after a long illness.
She was born November 13, 1987, a daughter of the late Hector and the late Rosalba (Rodriguez) Merced, and was educated in the local schools, graduating from the Greater Lowell Technical High School, Class of 2005.
Mickey enjoyed music and dancing as well as karaoke and spending time with her family. She was also a volunteer at The Lowell Renaissance Club.
She is survived by her sister, Rosie Rodriguez of Methuen; her brothers, Juan J. Garcia of Alabama, Jesus M. Garcia of Florida, and Carlos A. Garcia of Oklahoma; her maternal grandmother, Carmen M. Ferrer; her uncles, Ramon L. Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, Wilfredo Rodriguez, Jose O. Rodriguez, Carlos A. Rodriguez, Juan M. Garcia and Carmelo Rodriguez all of Lowell, and Ramon E. Rodriguez of Puerto Rico; her aunts, Carmen M. Garcia of Dracut, Diana Vazquez of Lowell, and Mirthelina Llanos of Puerto Rico; many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as her special friends, Wayne Pilato of Lowell and Matthew Morgese of Methuen.
