Michael A. Silva
LOWELL Michael A. Silva, 34, a lifelong Lowell resident, died on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Lowell General Hospital after an accident.
Born November 17, 1976, in Lowell, he was a son of Mario C. Silva and Emily S. (Brazil) Silva. He was raised in The Highlands neighborhood of Lowell where he was educated at The Daley School. He later attended Lowell High and Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church. He was employed as a mover with Sterling of Billerica for five years before a disability forced his early retirement.
Michael was an advocate for the homeless, helping them whenever he could. He also enjoyed playing softball and listening to music, especially Lady Gaga. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents, Mario and Emily Silva, he is survived by his two daughters; Halie W. Ryder-Silva of Dracut and Mckayla E. Morin-Silva of Lowell, his brother. Mario J. Silva and his wife, Kimberly, of Lowell, his nieces Corbin and Samara, his nephews Mario and Christopher, his former fiancé, Stacey Ryder of Dracut and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
