Michael Nyder
LOWELL Michael B. Nyder, 54, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of Barbara (Sullivan) Nyder of Lowell and the late Frank Nyder.
Born December 28, 1959, in Lowell, he grew up in the Acre section of the city, and attended the local schools, graduating from Greater Lowell Technical High School, Class of 1977.
He made his home in the Acre section of Lowell, and worked as an electrician throughout the Greater Lowell for more than 35 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox.
Besides his mother, Barbara, he is survived by his son, Michael Nyder of Lowell; his daughter, Justine Paul of Salem, NH; his sisters, Barbara Nyder and her fiancee, Tony Desrosiers, of Lowell, and Sharon Nyder and Mark Groswald of Dracut; Corey Otero of Lowell, who was like a son to him; his aunts, Patricia Sullivan of Dracut, and Ethel O’Hara of Chelmsford; his nieces and nephews, Kerry, Kristin, Michael, Rebecca, Sarah, Kendra, and Joseph and several great nieces and great nephews as well as many cousins and friends, including his good friend, John Tsoumas of Lowell.
He was also a brother of the late Tracy E. Kilmartin.
