Michael Jordan
"Born in Killerduff, Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland"

LOWELL Michael Jordan, 90, of Lowell, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at D’Youville Senior Health Care Center, after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer. He was a son of the late James and the late Catherine (Langan) Jordan both of Ireland.
Michael was born August 17, 1920, in Killerduff, Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland, and was educated in that area. In 1953, he emigrated to the United States, settling in Lowell. For over thirty years, he made his home in the Belvidere Section of the City, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Mr. Jordan worked as a boiler room engineer for the City of Lowell School Department for twenty seven years before retiring.
He is survived by his nephews, James Jordan and his wife, Marina, John, and Ciaran Jordan of Ireland along with many other nieces and nephews throughout England and many great nieces and great nephews throughout England. He is also survived by his cousin, Marie Quinn of Wolliston; his brother in law, Eric Goodwin of St. Albans, Hertz, England; a sister in law Bridget Jordan, of London, England; his dear friends, Thomas and Denise Ryan of Windham, NH; and his neighbor, John Splaine of Lowell.
He was also the brother of the late Norah Jordan, Agnes Goodwin, Mary Sheahan, Annie Thorpe, John Jordan, and James Jordan. Brother in law of the late John Sheahan and the late Celia Jordan.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HIS CALLING HOURS FROM 4 UNTIL 7 P.M. ON THURSDAY. ON FRIDAY, HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 8:30 A.M. AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH AT 9:30 A.M.. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL AT ST. PATRICK CEMETERY. PLEASE SEND MEMORIALS IN HIS NAME TO THE MONASTERY OF ST.
