James P. McQuillan
LOWELL James P. McQuillan, 67, of Lowell, passed away after a long illness Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Fairhaven Nursing Home.
Born April 10, 1940, he was a son of Doris Sheldons in Dover, New Hampshire. He was raised on The Wiggens Farm in Stratham, New Hampshire and enjoyed farming his whole life. Naturally he had a strong love of the outdoors and nature also.
Mr. McQuillan served with the United States Navy as a Sonar Technician aboard the U.S. Haley and the U.S. Krisner, which were Nav y Destroyers He was involved in the stone cutting and granite mining industries for many years before illness forced his retirement. He worked for The Barretto Granite Facility in Milford, NH, Textron in Dover NH, and was a Foreman at Coating Systems in Nashua NH for many years.
His funeral services were handled privately at the McDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL (978 OR 800) 458-6816.
