Mary Weems
LOWELL Mary (Barsorian) Weems, 95, of Lowell, died Monday, January 19, 2015. She was the widow of the late Berlin Weems who passed away in May 2014.
A daughter of the late John and the late Sarah (Echmalian) Barsorian, she was born August 4, 1919, in Lowell, and educated in the local schools, graduating from Lowell High School. In later life, she worked as a Para-Professional with the Lowell Public School System.
Mary was a devoted wife and mother, and had traveled the World supporting her husband during his military service for over twenty years. She was a resident of the Belvidere Section of Lowell. She was an avid baker, and accomplished pianist, was bilingual and loved languages. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara A. Nealon and her husband, Robert, of Lowell and Nancy E. Humphrey and her husband, Randall, of Lowell; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nealon-Heibel of Kensington, MD, Robert Nealon of Nashua, NH, and Jessica Humphrey of Dracut; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Kaylee, Alexa, and Ellie and many nieces and nephews.
She was also a sister of the late Miram Barsorian, Menas Barsorian, Ora Hampson, Arakel Barsorian and Elizabeth Sullivan.
YOU ARE INVITED TO HER CALLING HOURS FROM 9 UNTIL 10 A.M. ON SATURDAY MORNING, JANUARY 24, AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 10 A.M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME. A PROCESSION WILL FOLLOW FOR BURIAL IN LOWELL CEMETERY.
