Mary Silva
LOWELL Mary Silva, 89, a longtime Lowell resident, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at Genesis Westford House after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late Januario and the late Maria (DeCosta) Silva.
Mary was born July 18, 1921, in Lowell, and graduated from Lowell High School. She was a longtime Lowell resident, making her home in the Back Central Street Neighborhood of the City for many years before residing in Hudson, NH. She had worked at the former Pollards in Downtown, and was a communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her nephews and nieces and their children.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph Silva of Templeton; her nieces and nephews including, Joseph A. Silva and his wife, Celestina, of Templeton; and her great nieces, great nephews, and great great niece, including, Luis J. Silva and his wife, Monica, and their daughter, Evelyn Alice of Westford, and Marc J. Silva of Templeton.
