Mary T. Muldoon
"Devoted Wife and Mother"
LOWELL Mary T. (Moran) Muldoon, 73, a lifelong Lowell resident, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center after a valiant fight with diabetes. She was the cherished wife of Frank B. Muldoon, with whom she celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last year.
A daughter of the late Arthur and the late Christina Isabella (O’Neil) Moran, she was born September 8, 1939, in Lowell, attended Immaculate Conception Grammar School and graduated from Lowell High School, Class of 1957, where she was a Girl Officer. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
Mrs. Muldoon worked for St. John’s Hospital in the pathology department until she became a stewardess for American Airlines. She then worked in the dental field for fifteen years before working in credit and collections. Mary studied ballet and loved to dance and also loved shopping for underprivileged children at Christmas as well as redecorating, and because she loved the sea coast, she also loved taking trips to Maine. She loved animals, but most especially loved spending time with her family.
Besides her loving husband, Frank, she is survived by her daughters, Wendy Dodge Robbins and her husband, Douglas, of Attleboro, and Tiffany O’Neil (Muldoon) Avilla and her husband, John, of North Chelmsford; her brothers, Gerald P. Moran of North Chelmsford and Thomas E. Moran and his wife, Irene, of Chelmsford; her sister in law, Nancy S. Gavlik and her husband, Richard P., of Tyngsboro; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother in law Pauline Muldoon and sister in law Kathleen Cable.
She was also the sister of the late John F. ‘Moose’ Moran and the late Robert ‘Hank’ Moran, and sister in law of the late Mary L. McKenney Moran and the late John M. Muldoon.
