Mary C. McMahon
LOWELL Mary C. McMahon, 92, a life-long resident of Lowell, Mass died August 31, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus following a brief illness.
Mrs. McMahon was a secretary at Fort Devens during World War II where she met her beloved husband, Sidney J. McMahon, who served in the US Navy. After her marriage, she was a homemaker and mother to her six children. Mary enjoyed bowling, camping, and playing card and board games with her family who she loved spending time with, especially during the holidays.
Mary was close to her neighbor and dearest friend, Theresa Borges, and they had many excellent adventures together. She loved her Catholic faith and received communion each week from her dear friend Kathleen Pender-Phaneuf.
Mary loved her family, children, and grand-children. She is survived by daughter Peggy Foley and her husband Bob Foley of Lowell, daughter Janice Malloy and her husband Neil Malloy of Colebrook, NH, and son Brian McMahon and his wife Gloria of Hampstead, NH, twelve grandchildren, Lori Mahoney, Kerri Savina, Ron Foley, Neil Malloy, Brian Malloy, Erin McMahon, Ryan McMahon, Katie McMahon, Matthew McMahon, Nick Ferullo, Daniel McMahon, and Megan McMahon, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her sons Billy McMahon, Sid McMahon, and daughter Pat (McMahon) Slimp, granddaughter Katie Slimp, and her loving husband Sid McMahon.
Her funeral and burial will be held privately.
