TEWKSBURY Mary W. (Jacobs) Kandrotas, 94, of Tewksbury, died peacefully, Monday, December 19, 2011, at Wingate of Belvidere after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Steven Kandrotas who died July 27, 1982.
A daughter of the late John and the late Kunegunda (Anton) Jakabczyk, she was born November 14, 1917, in Lowell, and was educated in the local schools.

Mary was a lifetime communicant of the Holy Trinity Polish Church, and was a member of the Sodality of Our Lady of Chestochowa, the League of Catholic Women, and the Senior Citizens of the Parish. Since 1952, she had made her home in Tewksbury

For over twenty three years, she worked as an assembler for Raytheon Corporation in South Lowell before her retirement. Mary was a devoted grandmother, and will be remembered for her cooking skills, and the joy she brought by always having a cupcake or something sweet for everyone. She also enjoyed painting, gardening and flowers, and traveling with her late husband, especially to the Doylestown, Pennsylvania area.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen Kandrotas and his wife, Mary, of Lowell, and Robert W. Kandrotas of Tewksbury; her six grandchildren, Kerry Fantasia and her husband, Mark of Dracut, Richard Kandrotas of Lowell, Melissa Kandrotas of Tewksbury, Jessica Kandrotas of Dracut, Michael Kandrotas of Lowell, and Jeffrey Kandrotas of Lowell; her eight great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, McKenna, Skyla, Phoenix, Madison, Logan, Samantha, and Ayden; her sister in law, Mary Jacobs of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also a sister of the late Helen Jacobs, the late Louis "Uncle Louie" Jacobs, and the late Stanley Jacobs.

YOU ARE INVITED TO HER VISITATION 8:00 A.M. UNTIL 9:30 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY MORNING, DECEMBER 21, AT THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. HER FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT HOLY TRINITY POLISH CHURCH AT 10 A.M.. BURIAL IN HOLY TRINITY CEMETERY.
